About Kyoto Tax Service

Kyoto Tax Service specializes in the unique tax challenges facing American expatriates and non-U.S.-resident alien “green” card holders in Japan. While taking full advantage of internet technologies, including encrypted file transfer and e-filing, we provide complete and efficient service to clients located anywhere in Japan. If you are located in the Kansai area of Japan (or will be passing through), and prefer the more traditional way of doing business, we can also set up a face-to-face meeting. (Additional costs apply for face-to-face meetings or initial phone consultation.)

About the Owner

My name is Robert Blömeke. I am certified by the IRS as an Enrolled Agent. Unlike CPAs or lawyers, Enrolled Agents are the only tax practitioners whose qualification is indicative exclusively of a specialization in taxation, and whose licensure is issued directly by the IRS. As an Enrolled Agent, I have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS. My EA credentials can be verified here.
